Author: Hannah
Date: 08.07.24

Thursday 1st August – 6:30pm

£40 per person

Flesh & Buns Oxford Circus is delighted to welcome Nikka Whisky for a one-off pairing event.

Their specialists have taken six whiskies from across the Nikka range and paired them with some of our favourite dishes from the Flesh & Buns menu.

The event will be hosted by a whisky expert, so whether you’re completely new to the world of Japanese whisky, or a long-time lover – there’ll be plenty to learn from the event hosts, with a chance to ask questions and learn about the world of Nikka.

About Nikka

Nikka was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, who is often referred to as “The Father of Japanese Whisky” Taketsuru travelled to Scotland in 1918 to learn the art of whisky making.

Returning to Japan in 1920 with his new Scottish wife Rita, Taketsuru also brought back traditional Scottish production techniques which he blended with Japanese precise and attention to detail to create Nikka. Taketsuru’s passion was whisky blending, and he built the Nikka company’s two distilleries, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, to make a wide variety of malt and grain whiskies for making elegant and complex blends.
